2nd album by Tome Of The Unreplenished, 7 years after their debut. This is much less about Bathory, however, than about mining that strike of mostly melodic, almost mellow black metal that grew out of bands like Blut Aus Nord and Agalloch. There is definitely a Macabre Omen style of epic riff-writing at work here, and the melodies are very similar, but rather than heavy, this is smooth.
