2nd album by Bran Barr. Nicely straight in between black and pagan, yet with a slight happy touch and the music varies in between epic and furious. Embedded into a very clear and warm production, the band manages to fuse the different styles and elements together flawlessly and seamlessly, with the folk elements being too cheesy! One of my favorite folk albums for 2010!

5th album by Running Wild. It is built on a core of traditional heavy metal, but with elements of speed and power creating atmosphere and power far surpassing the two previous albums. The songs are catchy in a very sing-along way, which combined with the up-tempo pace, makes for an incredibly fun listen. The music is without a doubt more melodic than their previous releases and the top-notch production highlights this superbly.

Debut album by Naglfar. The music here is very raw though, this was the first album the band ever released so the arrangements and the structures are quite unpolished, but they never stop sounding oddly beautiful and heavy. Miles of haunting riffs that will stay with you long after the spin, punishing drums and chilling vocals. Vittra is probably their most 'black' album.
