The riffage clearly owes a lot to the classics and has a nice old school feel about it. There’s a lot of early Sodom and Destruction to be heard here, with harsh vocals and thrashing attitude throughout.

The growling vocals may be pure death/black metal, but that is where the connection with the genre ends. The record is characterized by their usual focus towards stomping rhythms and folk melodies. There's a greater reliance on keyboards and synths than previously.
