Debut album by Violent Force. One could call the band's style rather simple which it may well be, but it is also very effective and doesn't waste time on unnecessary attempts at some more complex or refined output. Complete with great aggressive vocals, this album is simply quite refreshing and straight to the point. It is actually a great shame that Violent Force never had any better distribution for their music, as the band were clearly very good at what they did.

Debut album by Rigor Mortis. It is a mix of rough thrash metal, some impressive guitar work by Mike Scaccia (Ministry) and particularly extravagant, gory lyrics with lots of humorous overtones. Most tracks are full of wonderful energy, partially due to Bruce Corbitt's strong vocals that add to the powerful feel of this album. Amazing, fast as hell guitarwork!!!!

Debut album by Defiance. The guitar duo of Doug Harrington and Jim Adams was a very solid pair and perhaps this band's strongest feature. We find true technical parts, especially in the guitar galloping riffage and the solos. The Jeff Waters production, while glaring with high hopes, is rather weak-kneed and thin and not the kind of job that was expected from such a reputable guy at that time.
