Debut album by Cirith Ungol. The playing here is top notch and the vocals are really awesome after getting used to them and so are the solo's.  Many of the songs have fitting keyboard presence creating a dark atmosphere but luckily it's not overdone. This is the less doomier release of the band, that later will become more epic/doom.

Epic debut by Heavy Load. Early heavy metal that somewhat similar to Judas Priest at the same time. Lyrics here and themes are based mostly on viking mythology, fantasy and barbarians or warfare. The music being very anthemic heavy metal, very epic at parts like Manilla Road and yet still having the traditional heavy metal sound in most places.
