The bass is so forward in the mix, you almost can't make out the guitars at times. Jensen and Kampner really perform well together on this album and provide some catchy rhythms and leads.

Debut album by Saxon. It has mostly simple, catchy heavy metal tracks with simple and rhythmic power chords riffing which are easy for listening and also pretty enjoyable. Not even clocking over 30 minutes, this is a short and valuable album which marks the first breaths of this genre. The production quality is poor and Saxon would certainly go on to do much bigger and better things.
