2nd album by Blind Guardian and my favorite one. Still thrashier and angrier than the sound they'd develop later in their career. A blend between thrash and fantasy-tinged melodic speed metal with the occasional bombastic chorus thrown in. The guitar playing is fast and whipping and the rhythm parts consisting mainly of fast-picked riffs.

2nd album by Flames. With the most extreme cover in greek scene ever, the album functions as something of a bridge between the band's oldest, more traditional material and later pure thrash metal. The music is old-school thrash metal with dirty sound and fast guitars, closer to the american mid '80s thrash metal scene, although the sound does not resemble the sound of any of the groups of that era.

Debut album by West Of Hell, that come from New Zealand but in order to gain more popularity moved to Canada and recruited Chris "The Heathen" Valagao (Zimmers Hole, Mechanism, Memorain) behind the mic. Here you can enjoy old school speed/thrash in the vein of early Iced Earth, Heathen, etc. Catchy, melodic riffs, great vocal delivery and tight musicianship provide to us a solid record.

The 2nd album by Those Who Bring The Torture, finds them more groovy and less D-Beat, compared to their debut. The mixture of old school death metal, light grind influences and groove make the album an entertaining listen. Songs range in length between 2 and 4 minutes, movie samples here and there, meaty and chunky production and the performances are spot on.
