The 12th album by Cannibal Corpse, sees the band working with producer (and Hate Eternal frontman) Eric Rutan for the third time. The album isn’t groundbreaking in terms of substance or themes. Fans enjoy them for what they are and there is absolutely no need for them to experiment with the musical direction at this stage of their career. With hammering production, endlessly wicked guitarwork and suitably macabre lyrics, the band wisely sticks to its core strengths.

8th album by Soulfly and its more brutal ever, under a new lineup with David Kinkade (Borknagar) in drums and Tony Campos (Asesino, Ministry, Static-X) in bass. It seems that Max has tried to go back to some of the more base roots of his music and has stripped away all of the world music elements in favour of pure unfiltered hatred and flat out aggression. Just like all of the past Soulfly albums, this one also features guest vocalists, Travis Ryan from Cattle Decapitation and Dez Fafara from DevilDriver.
