2nd album by Striker. A straight forward record that is just about day life stories, beer, metal and pretty much whatever happens on their lives as metalheads. The production is very clean and sharp, bringing out the vocals and guitars to the forefront. The typical 80's sound is prominent in the verses where the clean guitar reigns. Raging Metal is set for the bridge, connecting with a melodic, harmonized chorus where Dan opts for high-pitched screams.

Debut album by Cursed Slaughter. This release combines thrash metal with certain aesthetics of eighties hardcore while not sacrificing heaviness, similar to bands like Suicidal Tendencies from that period of time, and the mixture works without any major problems. Nothing groundbreaking, but hell of a fun listen.

2nd album by Arkham Witch. The high quality of the artwork perfectly fits with the Lovecraftian horror-concept around which the band revolves. Musically this album treads an interesting combination of traditional heavy metal, NWOBHM and some late seventies inspired doom metal too. The tracks are riff based and generally heavy as hell, but with a great mid-paced organic groove.

4th album by Goatwhore. The band's sound takes in elements of black metal, death metal and thrash metal to create a uniquely mix of skin-flaying riffage, hyper-speed drumming and roaring vocals. The black metal influence is obvious as several tracks contain a heavy norwegian black metal riffing and blasting style, along with the higher pitched rasps of Ben Falgoust II (Soilent Green). The death/thrashing is very infectious and it quickly becomes impossible to ignore the catchiness of the fun chugging riffs.

So, the humor, the formula and the attitude remain the same as in S.O.D., but less innovative. This album has all the ingredients to be considered a good crossover example. The songs usually fall into one of two categories, short and jokey or short and offensive and usually sung/talked/growled over a simple but heavy/thrash groove.
