A guitar-driven album focused on heavy, slightly punk based riffing, with a bombastic rhythm section and an angry vocal delivery. Imagine a mix of Refused with Neurosis, more or less.

The 2nd album by Saturnalia Temple, finds them with a new session drummer Tim Call (The Howling Wind). Eriksson’s effect-heavy vocals have been dropped completely. The extreme dissonance has also been reduced significantly, with the band putting more weight on a more straightforwardly heavy approach. So, Expect a fuzzy mix of death, doom and stoner metal, with a little bit of blues and psychedelics.

Each song adds to the layers of consistently good vibes and it’s a very worthy addition to their ever expanding catalog. Although it doesn’t stylistically deviate from anything that Orange Goblin have done before there is an undercurrent of maturity running through the material.

Unfortunately, this release dissapoints, since it uses the same stylistic formula, black metal combined with downtuned stoner, but without any surprises and without the strong riffing, as in their earlier releases. Without being a bad album, it doesn't convince.
