3rd album by Stratovarius and their best release that far. This is the last album to feature the guitarist and leader Timo Tolkki on vocals. The music is gloomy keyboard driven and progressive and is their darker one, that has nothing to do with their ''happy'' power metal style they chose to follow later.

The debut release by Deuil, was sent to us by the band itself. The trio is trying to express their feeling about mourning (named Deuil in french) through their music and they do it quite good. Experimental black metal with sludge, doom and drone elements. Pummeling riffing with a melancholic and sorrowful mood in 2 songs that clock just over 30 minutes.

Atmospheric, melodic, aggressive, brutal, everything!! Perhaps THE release of 2013 for me! Give it a listen and you'll not regret!
