The riffage clearly owes a lot to the classics and has a nice old school feel about it. There’s a lot of early Sodom and Destruction to be heard here, with harsh vocals and thrashing attitude throughout.

The growling vocals may be pure death/black metal, but that is where the connection with the genre ends. The record is characterized by their usual focus towards stomping rhythms and folk melodies. There's a greater reliance on keyboards and synths than previously.

Pete Colucci did the lyric thing and performed all the vocals here, while Lawrence Nielsen played all the instruments. The duo is delivering a dark and melodic version of blackened death metal. 18 minutes of aggressive yet melodic songwritting, great vocal delivery and a dark atmosphere allover.
