Debut album by Cranium. Musically this is absolutely perfect oldschool speed/thrash metal. Furiously fast playing, screaming guitar solos and some of the most maniacal, hysterical and psychotic vocals you'll ever hear. They realize what they're singing about and never take themselves seriously for a minute. This is pretty cheesy on purpose, but the guitarwork really makes the album.

2nd album by Kvazar. Influences of several great bands can be heard here: Cephalic Carnage, Napalm Death, Malevolent Creation and even Suffocation. Even with the mention of those bands, their sound is still pretty straight-forward grindcore with some punk elements and not deathgrind like those influences may imply. Expect some sweet riffs, variety of vocals (growls, screams, distorted) and varied drumming.

By the end of 1994 the band entered in studio with Dan Swanö to record this album, this time with Dan Swanö as a member doing all backing vocals (clean vocals, screams and grunts). After the recordings the band members went on with different bands and projects and they didn't shop around for a record deal for this fully recorded and mixed album. In 2008, it was mastered by Dan Swanö and finally released in 2012. For those who digged their previous albums, this one will be certainly a surprise!!

This release continues to exhibit D-beats of Discharge and Tragedy mixed with the galloping riffs of Motorhead, coupled with some guitar slides proper of sleazy rock bands like Zeke or Turbonegro. It is a more approachable work when compared to their previous works largely thanks to the production job of Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou. Hardcore drumming set against breakneck riffage and unintelligible howls about anarchy.

7th album by Meshuggah. If you're expecting the extremely technical polyrhythmic wizardry of obZen, look somewhere else. Finally everybody can listen to Meshuggah without having a headache! The focus is on the riff and the groove rather than complexity or technicality. The riffs are still groovy, the drumming still spectacular and the vocals still brutal, yet everything Meshuggah creates with this album is natural.
