25. A Cold And Lonely Place 26. Farewell Kiss 27. Human Is The Bastard

3rd full length album by Total Fucking Destruction. The general pace of the music is usually very fast with blasts and hardcore-style shouts galore. All of it blows by very quickly, with 27 songs in just over 27 minutes in length and songs generally clock in at less than a minute in length with a few gems in the couple of seconds range. TFD throw a lot of different influences and sounds into their style. Some of the songs sound like crossover thrash songs, some songs sound like they could be punk songs, some are typical grindcore and some songs sound like they are rock songs with blastbeats.

All the songs in this record have a great epic feeling and atmosphere. The album contains heavy and great riffs,  kick-ass rhythm section and the main characteristic of Doomsword, Deathmaster’s voice.

1. Epitome I
2. Epitome II
3. Epitome III

8th album by Blut Aus Nord. After some variation and experimentation with their music in their previous years, this release is somewhat a return to their black metal roots. It consists of dark, dissonant riffs and disjointed electric drums. This album explores larger, more complex song structures and a wider range of tempos. The eerie keys, wails and whispers create a haunting atmosphere.

Neige Et Noirceur - Hymnes De La Montagne Noire

Genre: Atm. Black
Country: Canada
Year: 2011

1. Hymne I: La Grande Faucheuse Ouvre La Marche
2. Hymne II: Neige Noire
3. Hymne III: Là Où Demeure La Sorcire Des Neiges
4. Hymne IV: L’aube Des Magiciens
5. Hymne V: Le Chemin De La Montagne Noire
6. Les Bcherons (Bérurier Noir cover)

3rd album by Neige Et Noirceur, a solo-project of Zifond. While always including plenty of doom, folk and drone elements into the project's past releases, this album is devoted, for the most part, to the brutality of it's black metal side, without removing the other sections. It is a more guitar driven album than their previous more ambient works. From the atmosphere to the buzzing distorted guitars and soft acoustic passages, a severe sense of freezing cold and isolation is born.

Enjoyable 'Ep by Envenomed. The first four tracks are all new and recorded this year and the four last are taken from their 2009 demo 'Evil Is Back'. Fast and aggressive thrash, rough and dirty, with some technical hints here and there, with catchy riffs and nice choruses, ingredients that can satisfy your thirst for thrash.

Genre: Atm. Black
Country: Austria
Year: 1997

1. Angbands Schmieden
2. Nightshade Forests
3. Elfstone
4. Khazad Dúm
5. Kôr
6. Wyrmvater Glaurung
7. Unto A Long Glory...
8. Over Old Hills

3rd album by Summoning. The music varies a bit from earlier releases, with the guitars being pushed back lower into the mix, whilst the synth and drums dominate the songs. The majestic melodies are slowly developed through repetition into epic, grandiose climaxes, accompanied by the most powerful drumwork. Sometimes other elements, such as flutes, are put into the mix but the foundation’s always there.

4. Rapture
5. Eternal
6. Falling Forever

2nd album by Paradise Lost, with full of sorrowful emotion through a harsh and mournful sound. This album is colossally heavy, melancholic and rhythmic, with magnificent riffs very well performed and exciting guitar solos. This is the album where they developed their trademarked melancholy sound. Here we can hear Nick Holmes at his best with regards to the raw style of production that they had.

Entrails - Tales From The Morgue

Genre: Death
Country: Sweden
Year: 2010

1. Intro: Tales From the Morgue
2. Blood Red
3. Voices

8. Evil Obsession
9. Triumph Of The Sinners
10. The Morgue
11. The Curse Of Death

Debut album by Entrails, that includes 2 new songs and 9 songs from their early demos. Taking older tracks from previous demos and re-recording them in a legitimate sound studio gives the album some extra life. Evil, possessed, old school death metal, ancient riff evocation with crushing drums and rotting vocals. The riffing really is top-notch from start to finish and the guitar sound is chunky and sharp.

6th album by Forefather, using the same formula as they did in their previous masterpieces, but this time more heavy/power than black oriented. Dynamic mix of pagan/viking metal, a lot of heavy/power influences in the riffing and an inimitable use of excellent clear vocals, bring the birth of another brilliant album.

6th album by Cage. Combining the passion of traditional metal with speed and thrash metal, within a melodic wrapper, singer-screamer Sean Peck and company, deliver a relentless and intense package of metal. Without doubt the band knows very well to write good songs with beautiful choruses, which have the advantage to wake you up.

An instrumental mini-album of technical virtuosity of this bunch of amazing musicians. Ron Jarzombek (Watchtower, Spastik Ink, Gordian Knot), Alex Webster (Cannibal Corpse) and Hannes Grossman (Obscura). Crazy and complex structures, surgically executed with and unbelievable technic giving as result  a sonic orgy. It is a whirlwind of dazzling guitar solos, incredible breaks, freestyle jazz inspired tempo changes and other wizardry.

Children - Hard Times Hanging At The End Of The World

Genre: Techn. Thrash
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 2009

1. Advanced Mind Control
2. Nuclear Bummer
3. Power Spirit
4. H.T.H.A.T.E.O.T.W
5. Subterranian Cities
6. Time Is the Living

Debut album by Children. A very interesting and an enjoyable debut, which relies on melodic progressive power/thrash to pull it through. The compositions are long (6-9min) and the expected numerous time and tempo changes are all over them, neither of them overdone and the good thing is that the pace is energetic and fast-paced more than rarely. The vocalist searches for a very chaotic style of screaming, howling, grunting (not in a death metal way though).

Heavy Load - Death Or Glory

Genre: Epic/Heavy/NWOBHM
Country: Sweden
Year: 1982

1. Heavy Metal Angels
2. Might For Right
3. Something New
4. Bleeding Streets
5. The Guitar Is My Sword
6. Trespasser
7. Stil There Is Time
8. Traveller
9. Little Lies
10. Daybreak Ecstasy

2nd album by Heavy Load. The production is of course not up to today's standards, but back in 1982 this was more then good enough. The songs blends heavy guitars with melodic vocal melodies. With simple chords and some typical rhythm section backing some weird vocals, they succeeded in building a unique primitive atmosphere a few bands did repeat ever since. A classic, epic masterpiece!
