The group delivers a very strong release of melodic and sometimes symphonic death metal, combined with folkish moments and rarer black metal ones. 3 kinds of vocals, epic riffing with nice songwrittung, nice atmopsheres and acoustic parts. Lyrically, it focuses on 'The Dream of Macsen Wledig' which is a welsh tale about the emperor of the Western Roman Empire, Magnus Maximus.

This is the self-released debut album by Suidakra. It blends elements of medieval/epic, melodic death and black metal quite nicely. The clean male and female vocal work does offer a somewhat melancholy gothic tinge to what is otherwise a very epic and aggressive offering. The production is a bit raw, but it delivers the medieval feeling very well.
