2nd album by Joe Thrasher. Once again Joe Thrasher keep it short and in-your-face, the album clocking in at 30 minutes of face-smashing thrashing numbers. Most songs are full of fun, straightforward but damn well played, speedy thrashers that just rip through the speakers.

Asphyx & Hooded Menace - Split '7ep

Genre: Death/Doom
Country: Holland/Finland
Year: 2011

1. Asphyx - We Doom You To Death
2. Hooded Menace - Abode Of the Grotesque

Asphyx and Hooded Menace are spltting one song, never before released, of each other here. The Hooded Menace song is from the 'Never Cross The Dead' recording session and is easily just as good as any song off that album. Asphyx's song is their first recording with new bass player Alwin Zuur and it is a masterpiece of horrific death-doom. It is insanely heavy and slow and Martin Van Drunen's voice on this, it is just awesome!

Tight musicianship, great production, riffs that dig in your mind, amazing vocal performance, nice solos and in general very catchy thrash songs. Simply put, an aggressive thrashing holocaust!

Niklas Stalvind’s razor sharp piercing vocals, Stalvind along with guitarist Johannes Axeman provide crunchy relentless riffs and ferocious solo’s and the hard hitting rhythm section of bassist Anders Modd and drummer Richard Holmgren. This time Wolf are fueled by the power of old Sabbath, Motorhead,Priest and probably lots of booze and drugs to create what is perhaps their most old school album to date.

Livstid - Livstid

2. Nedbygning Av Statsmakten
3. Ei Jaevla Tragedie
4. Permafrost
5. Du E Feig
6. Alltid Beredt
7. Ei Etasje Opp

11. Punkere, Sta Sammen
12. Krigshisser
13. Juggernaut
14. Tenk Hvis Alle Hadde Alt
15. Dei Du Ikke Ser
16. Outro

Killer debut album by Livstid. They've lost the grind elements of their earlier Ep and split, but they still kill. Short to the point songs that rarely clock above the 2-minute mark. There is more than enough variation between the songs due to small nuances in the riffs and speeds. Grinding moments that bring in mind Nasum, melodies that remind old black metal bands, crusty atmosphere and non-stop D-beat filthiness!

2. Greatest Of All Times
3. Human Domestication
4. Knock Knock Vol. 1

16. In Hardest Conditions 17. Vain Killer 18. Modus Vivendi
19. The Augury 20. The Shaped Ape Blues

3rd album by Milking The Goatmachine, for a 3rd consecutive year. The grind moments are lesser this time, giving more space for a grooving standard-type death metal, and less brutal and extreme. The humour of the band seems to be never ending and furthermore is exactly what their fans expect. The production is excellent, so it sounds nice and fat.

Vektor - Outer Isolation

Genre: Progr. Techn. Thrash
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 2011

1. Cosmic Cortex
2. Echoless Chamber
3. Dying World
4. Tetrastructural Minds
5. Venus Project
6. Dark Creations, Dead Creators
7. Fast Paced Society
8. Outer Isolation

2nd album by Vektor. They continue playing thrash with  all the characteristics of the style. There are the sharp guitar riffs, the screaming vocals and the tight rhythm section, but on the other hand there's plenty of melody and complexity on the songs, that approaches the borders of progressive. The end product is much more aggressive, than their previous releases and often steps fully into blackened thrash. The production is excellent, clear enough to show every detail of the album, but also preserving the raw and old-fashioned feeling of the music.

Their job is destructive, burly and nasty.

The drum work is excellent, the guitars grind in the background and create a great, thick and atmospheric sound and there are a variety of singers providing different styles of vocals.

Devastation - Signs Of Life

Genre: Thrash/Death
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 1989

1. Eye For An Eye
2. Desolation
3. Manic Depressive
4. Signs Of Life
5. Retribution
6. Tomorrow We Die
7. Contaminated
8. Fear Of The Unknown
9. Escape To Violence

2nd album by Devastation, by far more mature compared to their debut. The vocals are now ordinary shouts and come across as more convincing although they still lack some strength. The real highlight is the riffs! It's loaded with blazing, catchy riffs that simply keep kicking you second after second.
