2nd album by Auriferous Flame, a side-project by Ayloss (Spectral Lore, Mystras, etc.). This is black metal much more in the Scandinavian, second-wave style, with similarities to Emperor as well as bands like Blut Aus Nord or Lunar Aurora. Satisfying heaviness, chaotic and aggressive riffing, and a lot of atmosphere that brings in mind of the sounds of the '90s when black metal bands first really started experimenting with melody and mood.
