The riffs are fast and icy, the drumming rapid, and the melodies sufficiently pronounced to provide a certain amount of accessibility. Their music sounds calm and satisfyingly melodic, but with a brutish force of black metal aggression, and their simple structural side made the material visibly appealing without need of progressive over-complication.

Debut album by Konvent. It is a strong statement of intent from this promising band. Whilst it can be a dense and difficult listen to digest at times, it sets the stage nicely for what follows. The style is mostly a heavy, slow doom metal with death metal elements such as sudden, fast guitar riffing and violent drumbeats, emerging from an otherwise slow and gloomy, melancholic atmosphere.
