Debut album by Eldamar. Mathias Hemmingby is the guy behind this one man project. Everything here is based on melodic elongated yet catchy simple guitar riffs, but with a huge utilisation of keyboards that create some stunning ambiances. A great, atmospheric, ambient black metal album with lyrics based on J.R.R. Tolkin and nature.

Debut album by Batushka. That came out of nowhere and convulsed the whole extreme metal scene. This is a brutal and epic album. This is a weird combination, a perfect balance between doomy sections and black metal blasts. It is full of liturgical chants and sporadically placed ecclesiastic bells, while some D-Beat moments can be found here and there.
